Position: Agile Scrum Master – Lead

Start date: 08/17/2021; End date: 08/2024 with possible extensions.

Job Duties:

• Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
• Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the projects.
• Evaluate project plans and proposals to assess feasibility to implement.
• Analyze and direct technical teams to develop project plans, cost estimates and resource estimates and develop estimates depending on the need and nature of the project.
• Document IT systems related activities or tasks.
• Apply logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of possible solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects
• Rationalize conflicting requirements and negotiate with business and IT to arrive at a resolution.
• Formally transfer deliverables to operations/production teams, review contracts and documentations (Process maps etc.), release resources, conduct project retrospectives, communicate, and confirm project closure/completion.
• Establish Sprint goals and deconstruct user stories from Epics to achieve Sprint goals.
• Create and maintain a repository of project artifacts like assumptions log, change log, estimates, QA measurement analysis, Risk register, Scope document, Requirements document, Milestone list, Project communication document, Business case, External and internal contracts documents, Lessons learnt register etc.
• Effectively utilize Agile Project Management & development tools like VersionOne, Jira/Confluence, TFS, ReactNative, and/or cloud-based app development platforms and Quality Management tools like HP ALM etc.
• Implement scaling scrum strategies and scaling patterns for multiple teams using Scaled Agile framework (SAFe) and Scrum of Scrums (SOS) to minimize cross dependencies between teams.
• Create and review Backlog maintenance with Product Owner
• Collaborate with the Business and Systems analysts/architects to describe the needs of the stakeholder(s), and bridge business requirements and systems requirements.
• Stay abreast of developments in tools, technologies, and techniques the Team is using.
• Estimate the team’s velocity, and makes forecasts of how much of the Product Backlog the Team can complete by a specified date
• Organize and facilitate Agile and Scrum meetings, which include Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums or Standups, Sprint Check-In, Sprint Review & Retrospective.
• Communicate with various levels of the organization, business stakeholders/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Program and Portfolio managers, system architects, developers & QA’s etc.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, a closely related field, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
